History of Biomagnetic Pair Therapy

Although basically unknown in the U.S., Biomagnetism is practiced in many countries, especially in Central America, South America and parts of Europe. Dr. Isaac Goiz of Mexico first discovered the medically healing power of "pairs" of magnets over 26 years ago when he was working with HIV patients. His revolutionary discovery was inspired after he attended a course on bioenergy held at the medical school of the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, taught by Dr. Richard Broeringmeyer. Broeringmeyer researched methods of single pole magnets, including the effects of magnetic fields on living organisms. Dr. Broeringmeyer shared that the body's organs and tissues can become magnetically polarized. He used the technique of Kinesiology (muscle test) to locate magnetic polarizations, pH alterations, in the body.

Inspired and enthused, Dr. Goiz returned to Mexico and experimented with single-poled magnets in pairs and monitored the body's responses to these applications. Dr. Goiz discovered the first Biomagnetic Pair consisting of the thymus and rectum on one of his AIDS patients. Dr. Goiz proposed that this pair of points have a relationship to each other for harboring the pathogens that cause AIDS: the HIV virus in the rectum and Escherichia coli in the thymus gland. What makes it possible for these two pathogens to survive in these niches is the alteration of the local pH values: the virus relishes an acid environment while the bacteria an alkaline one. Furthermore, according to Dr. Goiz, these two pathogens resonate with each other and cause the collapse of the immune system. Dr. Goiz calls this bi-focal relation between these two disease-causing points of the body the "Biomagnetic-Pair." Amazingly, the patient recovered shortly after receiving Biomagnetic Pair Therapy from Dr. Goiz.

In the years that followed, Dr. Goiz and his associates researched and uncovered hundreds of points in the body that house pathogens and over 350 Biomagnetic Pairs. Specific points that tend to harbor certain diseases. Theses "parings" are meticulously tested in universities and hospital clinics in the United States, Mexico and Spain. Dr. Goiz found that by applying magnets to specific points the pH of the body is neutralized and the pathogens are killed off – they need specific pH values, either acidic or alkaline, and inflammation in order to flourish.

Since then, Dr. Goiz, has successfully treated over 350,000 patients using Biomagnetism, and has reported over 25 years of successful results using the technique of bio-magnetic pair therapy.

Is Biomagnetism similar to magnet therapy? No.

It is not similar to magnet therapy. Their only similarity is they both use magnets. Magnet therapy uses a single pole magnet solely for dysfunction or injuries under two concepts: a) South pole as analgesic, b) North pole as anti-inflammatory. The magnetic fields used for this purpose are of low intensity (between 100 to 500 gauss) and are applied for longer periods of time, hours or days, and in areas that show specific symptoms. Biomagnetism, on the other hand, uses pairs of high intensity magnets (1,000+ gauss) placed in specific locations for a relatively short amount of time (10 to 90 minutes depending on the person’s location in relation to the equator). Biomagnetism promotes healing by altering the pH of specific areas creating a hostile environment for pathogens.

What occurs during a Biomagnetism session?

The initial session begins with a review of your health history to better understand your health concern(s). During follow-up appointments we will review any changes to your health since your last visit

During the therapy session you will lie comfortably and fully clothed on a massage table. The therapist will them conduct a kinesiology assessment to identify imbalanced areas of the body that are housing harmful pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi).

Once the areas of imbalance are identified the therapist places pairs of high intensity (1,000+ Gauss) magnets on those specific locations. After all the magnets have been placed they need to remain on for approximately 20 minutes.

The magnetic treatment works through depolarization to neutralize the pH in the body and restore natural balance. This creates a hostile environment for pathogens and a healthy environment for your body and its defense system to actively remove the pathogens.

The need and timing for follow up appointments will be determined at the end of the therapy session. The number of sessions needed varies from patient to patient and is influenced by the complexity and duration of the patient's health concerns. Most conditions improve or are resolved in 1-3 treatments, some may require 3-5 sessions while a few chronic or long term conditions may require additional sessions. Once the patient's health has been restored, regular treatments every 4-6 months are recommended as a form of preventative health maintenance.

Biomagnetism FAQs

What are the side effects of Biomagnetism? The magnets used for the therapy do not impact the body in a negative way and there are no known side effects from Biomagnetism.

Who is NOT a candidate for Biomagnetism? Clients who have received Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy within the past year or are planning on starting Chemotherapy or Radiation Therapy should not receive Biomagnetic therapy.

If you are pregnant or have a pacemaker, insulin pump or other electromagnetic device please communicate with your therapist to see if treatment is appropriate for you.

I don’t have any chronic illnesses. Can Biomagnetism still help me? Absolutely, YES!
